Through years of personal experience and research she knows that there are some things you can do to help yourself: Keep your skin well moisturised, avoid extreme bathing temperatures and use the mildest soap free cleansers, do not pick at the bumps as inflammation and scarring may result, be gentle when you exfoliate and moisturise with an Alpha Hydroxy Body Lotion. You can never ‘cure’ KP only manage it; once you stop your routine, the keratin and dead skin cells will build up again in the hair follicle, and the bumps will return, so regular skin ‘maintenance’ is essential.
